MARIE LAURENCE LIONNARD

Her teachers have been Andreij Ziemski, Piotr Nardelli, Benedicto Cieza, Maria Metchkarova, Cyril Atanasoff, Jocelyn Alizart, Michèle Swenen et Juan Giuliano.

Soloist of the Ballet Théâtre de Wallonie under the leadership of Juan Giuliano

in 2006, Marie Laurence Lionnard performs various solos : Giselle act 1, Grand Pas Classique, Paquita, Le Corsaire and « Souvenance de demain » in the choreography of Juan Giuliano.

As from 2012 artistic director and teacher of the international dance centre « Danse ta vie » and the company « Jeune Ballet de Wallonie » in Chapelle lez Herlaimont, Belgium, Marie Laurence Lionnard is recognized for her knowledge of the history of dance and her capacities in the transmission of the classical repertory.

Ex-students of « Danse ta vie », Gilles Delellio is a member of the Washington Ballet and Margaux Hannecart of the Washington Ballet School.

Marie Laurence Lionnard started to dance at the age of six.

Very soon she attended daily classes at Balletomania in Brussels, with Piotr Nardelli and Andreij Ziemski, ex-dancers of the Ballet du XXème Siècle, Maurice Béjart and teachers at Mudra,

At the age of ten she received a yearly scholarship at Balletomania for the next four years.

Marie Laurence Lionnard took part in numerous courses with well known teachers of the Paris Opera who recognized her talent and wide capacities.

At sixteen she pursued her formation at the Royal Ballet School of Flanders in Antwerp, Belgium with Maria Metchkarova.

Selected for a great number of international ballet competitions, she received several prizes. In 2006 she took part in the Prix de Lausanne, Switzerland where she is encouraged by David Allen and Charles Jude. She represented Belgium in the Varna International Ballet Competition in Bulgaria in 2008.

« Au pays des fées », in May 2017, is Marie Laurence Lionnard 's last full length ballet. For her previous choreography she has received a first prize for « Mémoire » in Macerata and in San Remo, a first prize in Liege for « Schindler » and a bronze medal for « Why » at the VKIBC, New York in April 2018.r
